A Wagon of a Different Color Music to My Ears

Dirt, I Love You So is the twelfth episode of the first season.

Bear and his friends, Ojo, Pip & Pop, Treelo and Tutter, show us the many things you can do with dirt. Planting a tree, digging for buried treasure, sweeping and making mud. In the Shadow segment, Shadow sings Old MacDonald Had a Farm Featuring Chicks Cow And A Dinosaur

  • The theme for the episode is about dirt.
  • This episode was adapted as the book Dirt is Delightful!
  • In this episode the actual ending scene of the Big Blue House was cut short, and it fades to black invulnerably missing the trees closing. In the Shadow Projects, the dog snorts like a pig.
  • This is the only time Bear doesn't say "Well, thanks for visiting the Big Blue House". Instead he says (when he comes back from visiting Luna), "wow, that really was some day".
  • Lighting Designer Christien Methot is credited.
